Caol Ila - Aged 16 Years 15 year Old Single Malt Cask Strength: 59% Size: 70cl A pure Islay nose! Salty with medicinal peat, carbolic soap, coal dust, earth, iodine and vegetation. Underneath lurks some glorious, slightly sweet apricot and orange fruit. Very, very smoky on the palate. Followed by the medicinal peat which gently builds to a tangy, briny, fruity finish with the ever present smoke lingering. A drop of water brings out the sweet fruit on the nose. A superb Caol Ila! Tasting notes are for guidance only. All are single cask bottlings therefore there will be variations in taste. Hand Bottled, non-chill filtered. There has been no filtration therefore the whisky may appear cloudy or contain sediment / charcoal from the cask. Clean, grassy and citrus with lovely clean vanilla oak, cereal, apricot, banana and delicate sweet spices. Slightly oily with a tropical fruit middle along with the gloriously clean vanilla oak. Port Ellen - Aged 25 Years 25 year old single malt Cask Strength: 56.2% Size: 70cl Obviously peaty nose with sweet malt with a bubblegummy touch, complemented by strings of acidulous notes Still that slightly lactic acid note, peat smoke, malty sweetness and creamy vanilla on the palate.
